New theme + new Emmy 2010 nominations

I wasn’t really “feeling” the old theme so I decided to change it to, well, this! Now I’m just trying to figure out where I should put the logo.. Hmm. Anyway, I hope you like it. Oh, and BTW, just ~one month left until the start of the new TV season. Woohoo!

As you can see we are working on a new theme for the site. Some widgets may seem out of place and look weird, but we’re working on it. :) Once finished, we hope you’ll enjoy the new look and widgets.

Site Open

Tv by Nona is now officially open. All old posts from TvSerier.com have been moved here. Some changes to site (both content and design) will be made, but nothing that effects the posts or feeds, so it’s now time to change your subscription from the old tvserier.com feed to the new feed for Tv by Nona. Feed can be found here: http://feeds.feedburner.com/TvByNona
Except for the new name and design, everything is the same. Me and Linda will continue to blog about our favorite shows, and we hope that more TV fans will join us in the comming months. Coming Downtime

We will (finally) be switching hosts, in hopes for no annoying “Internal Server Error”’s and better customer support. Unfortunately this will cause up to one week of downtime. (I know, it sucks.) This is due to the fact that the old and the new host work in different ways when it comes to ending old accounts and activating new once. The site has already been moved to the new host, but is not accessible at this time since the actual domain still remains with the old host. Hopefully the site will only be down for a few hours, but as I said, it could be for up to a week. The order for transfer will be done tomorrow (Saturday, November 14). We have no way of knowing exactly when the site will be temporarily shut down, but probably by Monday.

A lot of changes this fall

If you are one of those wondering why the latest Fringe or The Big Bang Theory episodes haven’t been reviewed, it’s because we’re currently going through changes in the blogger team. Daniel who’s been responsible for the two series have had to resign due to changes in his personal life. The lack of time this fall makes him unable to keep blogging about the shows. Me and Linda have decided to take over the two shows and will have the missing reviews up as soon as possible. We will however focus on the coming episodes. Linda will take over The Big Bang Theory, while I’ll stick to one of my favorite shows on TV – Fringe.

Furthermore, we are still working on switching to another web host. The switch will hopefully be done before Christmas, but since the server issues have affected the site in a pretty negative way, we will not just move the whole thing. We’re going to make a completely new site for the blog/TV-news/reviews (under a new name, TBA at a later time) and this site (tvserier.com) will serve as a center for all sites in the TvSerier.com network. TvSerier.com will also have a message board where you can discuss the latest TV-news, celebrity gossip and all of your favorite shows. We plan on expending the network later by letting others who run a fan site for a TV actor or TV show join it, creating a microblog community for discussing the world of TV and an image gallery site where we’ll gather all our screenshots and users will be able to upload their own fanart.

Internal Server Error

The “Internal Server Error” that some of you are getting when trying to access the site will be taken care off within the next few days. Expect it to be completely gone by Tuesday. We at TvSerier.com are sorry that it’s taken so long to fix it, but we’ve had some serious issues with lousy and rude customer support from our Web Host and then vacations set in. If you keep ketting this error after tuesday, please send us an e-mail or leave a comment in the box below.

Please note that we have updated the “Current Projects” list due to this error.

This Weekend

I’ll do my best to fix the Internet Explorer issuse this weekend. Hopefully it won’t take too long. I also plan on getting the American Idol Top 3 results screens up, as well as the Bones finale spoilers truth/lies post.

Fringe finale and more…

[A short review of the Fringe season finale follows these site news.] Unfortunately Daniel won’t be able to have any of this week’s reviews up until the weekend. This only affects the shows that he blogs about. Linda’s shows, as well as mine, will be reviewed like always. In an hour or two you can expect screens from last night’s AI and later tonight both thoughts about the Top 3 elimination and a review of the Bones season 4 finale.

Here are some of my own thoughts about the Fringe finale: Very good episode, although I thought it was kinda copying some old episodes of Lois and Clark. It was like a combination of two or three episodes and therefore didn’t feel as unique as Fringe usually seems to me. The story in itself is of course, but there was just so many things that made me think of a couple of LnC eps that I just feel like they could have thought a little harder when they wrote this episode. Like I said before though, it was after all a very good episode. I’m really looking forward to the next season. What did you think?
Peter: What else aren’t you telling me Walter?
Walter: Lots I’m sure, but none of it’s relevant.

Who else was not shocked about this? I saw it coming a while back actually. I’m glad I was right. Makes for a good and very interesting storyline.

The end was amazing though. I can’t believe they put her in an office at the top of the WTC [R.I.P 9/11 Victims].

Apparently she entered a reality where the towers weren’t hit, but the White House was.

Internet Explorer

Apparently the site and a couple of posts look a bit weird when viewed in some versions of Internet Explorer. We are looking for the reason to this and will fix it as soon as possible. It’s mainly affecting the general design of the site, but since there are a couple of posts affected, this is a high-priority thing. We will try to fix this before continuing with the transfer of old comments from version 3.5.
