I had to pause and re-play the (part of a) Saula moment from season 5 a few times before I could continue the episode. I love that they still show Paula in old clips.
Loved the Obama “tribute”.
Guest judge in Chicago: Shania Twain
Did the presentation of Shania really have to include Kara’s voice? Bah.. lol.
Kara: Now I’m gonna go and stalk Shania Twain.
Me[to the TV/Kara]: I wouldn’t be surprised if you really mean that.
I like Shania. I used to love her music when I was younger. Guess I still like it, just never listen too it.
The Shania/Simon hug was actually cute. Hehe.
Okay, so, let me guess: They know each other? lol.
Simon: Yeah, it’s all a little bit ‘the lights are off’.
Shania: But somebody’s home though.

Simon: Do you find, when you sing at home, a lot of animals turn up outside the house?
Did this guy say that his name is Brian Krause? He doesn’t really live up to the name, does he? lol.
The first thing I thought when I saw John Park was: We need an Asian Idol. Honestly, I’m not saying it should or should not be him, I’m just saying it would be fun if at least one person in this year’s top 5 had an Asian heritage.
