This episode, just like the last one, was fantastic. The way it was cut and pieced together made for magnificent comedy, especially with the “double” date. It was done great. Right at the start of the episode when Ted introduces us to the blind date, was simply charming and genius.

A hilarious and weird conversation in this episode:
[Barney lures Marshall to a strip club by saying they are going to a Star Wars exhibit about Chewbacca. They're in a taxi.]
Marshall: Hey do you think they will have Wookie the English dictionary there? I mean even just a everyday phrase book would be helpful.
Barney: You’re not going to the origin of Chewbacca exhibit Marshall. It’s in Houston this year, everyone knows that!
(Fyi: Interestingly I noticed that Microsoft Word has the word “Chewbacca” in their spelling dictionary, go Star Wars!)

Another thing that shows the brilliance of the writers for this show is the idea with Marshall fantasizing about Lily dying in a hiccup disease, how did they think about that? Where did it come from? It is so funny!

The image of the group of friends that you have gotten to know and love for four seasons sitting in a strip club is hilarious. Barney must have felt very happy at that moment!

Speaking of Barney, it appears that he isn’t really ready to settle down and have a girlfriend just yet, seeing as he goes to strip clubs and refuses to see that Robin has a problem with it, I wonder how much Robin can take of Barney’s quirks?
Barney: See Marshall, we got to have a bro’s night at a strip club and both of our ladies are totally cool with it.
Robin: I’m not cool with it.
Barney: Because they understand that’s it healthy for us to do that from time to time.
Robin: It’s disgusting.
Barney: Because it’s harmless.
Robin: Did one of your whores tell you that?

I like the flashback of when Ted thinks of how the first, first date, could have gone if they had done it correctly; it was beautiful, that’s what it would be like if everything went okay in fictional storylines on television. I think I only can take the small flashback though because it would probably be boring if everything was just perfect all the time in the TV world. There has to be a reason too fiction being filled with obstacles to overcome since… well fiction was invented with the Gilgamesh epic and such.
I think this girl that Ted went on his second first date with is the best romance Ted has had in a long, long time. I wish she was the mother, they were so cute together and they had great chemistry!
I like the doppelganger stuff, it’s these little original ideas that make himym seem so fresh and compact.
