Harbingers in the Fountain

It’s been six weeks since Booth and Brennan have seen each other. Booth has been recovering from brain surgery, and Brennan has been on a dig in Guatemala. Angela’s psychic, Avalon Harmonia (guest star Cyndi Lauper), reveals while reading Angela’s tarot cards that there are multiple bodies buried under a Washington, DC fountain. Angela shares the information with Brennan and Booth, but they’re both a little skeptical considering the source. The lead pans out, and the duo find the remains of 11 bodies exactly where the psychic said they would be. Meanwhile, Sweets has certified Booth mentally fit to return to duty after his brain surgery, but Booth is still experiencing some side effects from the coma in the “Harbingers in the Fountain” season premiere episode of BONES airing Thursday, Sept. 17 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The wait is finally over – Bones is back and the first episode of the season did not disappoint. After last season’s finale many were angry and confused. (Read more here: The End in the Beginning)In my opinion, the start of season five made up for it. I love the whole confusion thing. It makes for some cute and awkward moments. Please remember that these comments, in 99% of the cases, are in chronological order. I may react to something that is explained later in the episode, to which I may or may not make a follow-up on my previous comment. If you’ve seen the episode this should all make perfect sense to you. If you haven’t, you’ll get it once you watch it.

So Bones went away after Booth woke up? Huh. Well, that does make sense. She always run (or try to) in situations like these – and she always use work as an excuse.

I liked the scenes with Cyndi Lauper in the beginning of the episode, but the whole “death-card-thing” is old. Besides, getting the death card doesn’t always mean something bad.

Cam: Dr. Brennan, would you care to hug?
Brennan: Why?

I was LMAO when Bones sat down on Booth. That led to one extremely cute scene.


Brennan: Booth!
Booth: Bones!
*and then we hug and everyone goes “AAAAAaaaaaaawwwwwwww”*

Angela: Listen guys, there are a bunch of bodies buried under the Taverson (sp?) fountain.
Booth: How do you know that?
Angela: Avalon- told me.
Booth: Who’s Avalon?
Brennan: Avalon is Angela’s psychic.
Booth:

Brennan: See, even superstitious Booth doesn’t believe in psychics.
Angela: That’s interesting, because she says that you two were linked – in a very profound and spiritual manner.
Brennan:

Aaaaahhh, I want Booth to wear crazy socks and ties and his cocky belt buckle! Arrr.

First body of the season – and it’s ALL bones!

Oh, look, here comes the (new”-ish”) opening credits! …and I’ve written a whole page already. This is either good, or just proof that I’m insane.

Yay, Caroline! Isn’t she just the best? I’m so glad they’re still including her in a lot of storylines. Her character is one of the finniest ever.

Booth: Yes! We’re back!
Brennan: You’re the one who told me never to look happy at a crime scene.

For some reason I’m getting this weird feeling that Brennan’s pregnant. Hm. Let’s just say, if she announces that she is in a few weeks time, I wouldn’t be surprised. (Please, do not confuse the character with the actress. *sigh*)

Hodgins: Isn’t this great? Us back together again, chasing criminals.
Angela: Yeah, a pit full of mass murder victims, what’s not to love?

Awww, Booth loves Brennan. Let me guess; Later on he’s gonna think he was just still very confused and “of course he doesn’t love her like -that-, they’re just partners”. Geez. (Hmm, it kinda sounds like I’m losing fate here, I think the season 4 final may have done that too me. Arrr, Hart Hanson better give us something good this year!)

Yay! The socks are back!

Whoops, cold feet.

Booth [runs up to Angela]: You’re gonna have to work late tonight.
Angela: Oh hello Angela, you look so pretty today. Well, thank you Booth and hello to you too.
Brennan: Oh, she’s being you and herself. I don’t know why.

This scene was just too cute (he’s so in love with her):
Brennan: Oh, would you like me to kiss you on the forehead too?
Booth: Sure.

I hate Sweets right now. “You weren’t in love before the coma”, “your feelings will fade away”? What’s that all about?! He’s supposed to be a brilliant psychologist, but right now he’s just acting like an insane little squint with his brain scans and, and… Ahhh. I’m so mad!

Hodgins: And that ladies, that is why they call me King of the Lab.
Angela: Nobody does that but you.
LOL

Aaaaaaawwwwww that was the cutest scene ever.
Booth: I’ve got you baby.

My first thought when Brennan entered Avalons apartment was: again? She just did that, now she’s gonna make the exact same mistake again? Lucky I was wrong. lol.
Avalon: Dr. Brennan. How are you feeling?
Brennan: Well, they gave me medication, so I feel how I imagine people of average intelligence feel all the time.

Another “aawww moment” (I officially forgive Hart Hanson for “the lies” – this episode is amazing). Brennan wants Booth to love her! Aaawwww.

Oh, awesome! We get to see Booth in a meeting with “his people”. Go Booth, you show those agents who the boss is!

ROTFLMAO Booth laughing at the clown. Brennan’s “Booth, do not kill the clown” made it even more hilarious. He really isn’t himself though, is he? Glad he finally said he loves her (you could so tell that he really meant it), but he did the right thing covering it up like he did. She had just seen that he’s not himself and she would not have taken that well.

Booth kissing Caroline. LOL!
