The Emmys were filled with both joy and disappointment (as usual). During the show I, Nona, wrote the following post which includes some thoughts and comments I had during the red carpet show (seen on Star!), as well as a list of all awards handed out and the winners of those awards (each with a quick comment by me). Enjoy!
We’re happy to report that Neil Patrick Harris walked away with two Emmy’s last night: one for his part as Bryan Ryan in Glee and one as host of the Tony’s. Glee also got two awards and Modern Family ended up with three! The 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards will be held next Sunday, and we really hope that NPH finally get that well deserved Emmy for his role as Barney Stinson. Here is a list of all the winners from last night (our favorites are in bold):
Neil Patrick Harris and longtime partner David Burtka will soon become dads to baby twins this October.
Sources say that the handsome couple will be having twins via a surrogate after visiting a surrogacy agency last year.
The 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on August 29, 2010.
NBC will broadcast the event, which will take place at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Late Night host Jimmy Fallon will host.
I wasn’t really “feeling” the old theme so I decided to change it to, well, this! Now I’m just trying to figure out where I should put the logo.. Hmm. Anyway, I hope you like it. Oh, and BTW, just ~one month left until the start of the new TV season. Woohoo!
The Emmy nominations are in and we’re both exited and dissapointed. Once again Bones has been overlooked. Fringe only got one nomination. The Mentalist didn’t get any. Glee, Neil Patrick Harris and Modern Family seem to be the big “winners” out of our favorites. Neil has two individual performance nominations: one as supporting actor in a comedy (along with 4 other amazing (!) actors and one John Cryer *sigh*) as Barney Stinson, and one as a guest actor in a comedy series for his role as Bryan Ryan in Glee (YAAAY!). Flowing are the major categories and the ones of interest for this site (Tv By Nona’s favorites in each category in bold). A link to the full list of nominations can be found at the bottom of the post.
The moment New Directions has been waiting for has finally arrived: it’s time for Regionals! But when Sue pulls a fast one on Will and the glee clubbers, their chances at the title could be compromised. Meanwhile, Quinn’s life changes forever in the “Journey” season finale episode of GLEE airing Tuesday, June 8 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GLE-122) (TV-14 D, L)
The glee club gets some news that’s sure to rattle a few nerves. Meanwhile, Quinn connects with her “funky” side with a little help from Mercedes, and Will gets revenge on Sue in the all-new “Funk” episode of GLEE airing Tuesday, May 25 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GLE-120) (TV-14 D, L)
Neil Partick Harris threw a surprise party for his boyfriend David Burtka a couple of nights ago. Pictures have finally hit the web and among them is a first ever shot of the two kissing (included further down in this post, along with three other cute pics of them looking extremely happy!). The party was thrown to celebrate David’s 35th birthday, which was on May 29. They’ve booth tweeted about it:
